Mindful meditation classes are currently running weekly for private groups. Interested in joining a class or signing your group up? Email firstname.lastname@example.org. What you will need for class – Comfy clothes – Mat or sturdy chair (with no arm rests) – Water – Strap (belt or scarf) to help with stretches if needed – Cushion for your knees, head, or back – Block (or cushion) to sit on and use for balance if needed – Blanket or sweater is nice to have If you are unable to attend the class please email email@example.com within 3 days of the class to receive a video recording of the class. Yoga First and Wellness’s goal is to create an environment that allows students to focus on themselves, to feel stronger mentally and physically, and to develop self-confidence. The classes are open to everyone. In the 1 hour class we will practice asanas (postures) and pranayamas (breath work) in a positive, energized environment free of schedules, demands, deadlines and stress. By becoming an instructor, I really wanted to share this incredible journey of healing and self-love. Classes bring something new to awaken the body and mind. Students are reminded that it’s very important to listen to one’s body and to push oneself to a healthy place. Proper technique is emphasized with several variations in order to prevent and heal injuries to enjoy a lifelong practice. Meditation is a beautiful ancient healing practice that can be performed by everyone. Simply put, the definition of mindful meditation is paying attention to the present moment with curiosity and non-judgement. With our lives becoming faster and more complex, this gentle yet powerful practice can deeply affect our wellbeing and peace of mind. We can think of mindful meditation as having the mentality of becoming fully present with your experiences and to fully be yourself. We are all unique and through the practice we can work on cultivating kindness and patience with ourselves healing challenges, emotional and physical issues and create clarity in our lives. It’s important that clients feel completely comfortable to talk, call or email me with any questions, comments and or suggestions they may have.
