What you will need for class: – Computer or smartphone with an internet connection – Comfy clothes – Mat – Water – Strap (belt or scarf) to help with stretches if needed – Cushion for your knees, head, or back – Block (or cushion) to sit on and use for balance if needed – Blanket or sweater Yoga First and Wellness’s goal is to create an environment that allows students to focus on themselves, to feel stronger mentally and physically, and develop self-confidence. A wonderful blend of these two ancient practices, Yoga and Qigong. Awaken your spirit, move your body and drop into a meditative flow. During this 1 hour class, we will practice specialized breath work, gentle exercises to warm up the systems, authentic postures, stretches and flows. At the end of class, we will enjoy this time for restorative shavasana and meditation to relax our body, mind and spirit. This practice is for everyone as it can be done seated, standing or both. I always encourage you to listen to your body. Learn to reduce stress and anxiety and ignite that inner energy so you can feel your very best. This combination class will help you heal and strengthen your body, clear your mind, bring peace and tranquility into your emotions and connect becoming more in tune with yourself and those around you. If you are new to Qigong, this class can be a nice introduction to this over 4000 year old art form that we will practice in combination with the gentle practice of Yoga.
